Pastor Nancy Mercier, ND is the Founder and Spiritual Director of Arcadia Angelic Sanctuary Interfaith Ministry® (AASIM). In January 1995, Pastor Nancy Mercier had a Near-Death-Experience (NDE) caused by a broken neck or spinal cord injury from a serious car accident, which resulted in severe and permanent paralysis or quadriplegia (C5 level). Significantly, Pastor Nancy Mercier's NDE led to a profound and intense spiritual awakening that culminated in her "call" to ministry or spiritual motherhood and the awareness of her Spiritual Gifts that continue to develop with daily practice and study.
In addition to a formidable recovery from her extensive neck injury and later, the painful loss of her stillborn son and both parents (within two months of one another!), Pastor Nancy Mercier has studied, searched and investigated numerous practices or paths of spirituality, religions, faiths and/or beliefs, including, the laws of nature, holistic theology, Interfaith philosophy & dialogue, near-death-experiences, angelology (study of angels), spirit realms, transpersonal psychology, naturopathy, grief and spiritual healing.
Indeed, with a strong interest in holistic faith, health and medicine, Pastor Nancy Mercier has completed a Ministerial Bachelor's Degree in Holistic Theology with the American Institute of Holistic Theology (New Seminary), Certification in Spiritual Counselling, Pastoral Care, Interfaith Ministry, Holistic Healing and Naturopathy with The iNtuitive Times Institute P.E.I.. She is also pursuing a Master's Degree of Counselling Psychology and Licensing as a Grief Recovery Specialist.
Some other areas of deep interest studied, researched, and/or investigated by Pastor Nancy Mercier include her Acadian/Cajun and Mi'kmaq aboriginal roots/ancestry, which comprised of cultural traditions, spiritual beliefs and practices in the areas of: dreams, vision quests, worship and honouring of The Great Spirit, Mother-Earth & Mother Mary; herbalogy and vibrational medicine.
Prior to her current professional and spiritual pursuits, Pastor Nancy Mercier completed a four years work-study certification program in business finances and accounting at the University of Toronto, and Seneca College (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), while working and training in these domains with the pharmaceutical companies of: Bausch & Lomb (1991-1992), Warner Lambert, and Pfizer (1992-1995). In fact, Pastor Nancy Mercier is still an employee of Pfizer on disability leave.
In 2001, Pastor Nancy Mercier became certified in Travel & Tourism with ICS Canada as a travel agent specializing in travel for persons with disabilities. She is affiliated with Expedia.ca and TripAdviser.ca organizing various North-American "Spiritual & Historical Sites" travel tours and cruise ship vacations for AASIM members and guests, while personally leading pilgrimages to Ste. Anne's of Beaupre Basilica, among other spiritual and historical sites in the province of Quebec and elsewhere in Eastern Canada and the USA.
Currently, Pastor Nancy Mercier is a Registered, Certified and Licensed Spiritual Arts Practitioner as Interfaith Minister and Naturopath (ND) with AASIM and A.N.N. (the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada). A.N.N. members are recognized across Canada and covered by most extended healthcare plans. Additionally, Pastor Nancy Mercier has a yearly criminal check, follows a Code of Ethics and maintains current education.
As a Spiritual-Pastoral Caregiver, Pastor Nancy Mercier provides companionship and assistance in spiritually passing-over at local Hospice Centers or Palliative Care Units by request or volunteer service, sharing her gifts of spirit, compassion and empathy in a respectful and reverent context that uplifts and validates for the ill and dying that life is eternal.

Further, Pastor Nancy Mercier enjoys writing, speaking and creating social media content. She is available for Lecture Presentations or Sermons at churches, conferences and workshops or educational events, including, interviews, radio and television or Internet appearances.
Furthermore, Pastor Nancy Mercier speaks, volunteers and participates at many regional events. She was recently President of the Beausejour People's Party of Canada (PPC) Riding Association but stepped-down on May 2, 2019 to run as Candidate of this riding in the upcoming federal elections. She has also led-facilitated various Holistic Spiritual Arts Workshops, including, Grief & Suicide Survivor Support Groups, and Workshops for the New-Brunswick Ministry of Health, instructing the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program: "My Choice - My Health.”
Lastly, Pastor Nancy Mercier manages and operates AASIM® with her husband, family and friends or Volunteers, at her secluded residence and property in the renown beach resort town of Shediac, NB, Canada.
